At Ten Mile Dental, we accept most insurance plans. For your time and expediency, we also file insurance claims for you. Our committed team continually strives to make our Frisco dental practice convenient and affordable. We do everything in our power to help you achieve and maintain a beautiful, healthy smile.
If we can’t work with your insurance company and policy, we want you to do what’s best for you. We do, however, offer various financing options to help you pay for your dental work, including a monthly payment plan through CareCredit.
For patients with dental phobia, we offer nitrous oxide sedation, also known as laughing gas. Safe and effective, nitrous oxide can alleviate the stress and anxiety that you experience when visiting the dentist. It gives us the opportunity to treat your smile, while you sit back and relax.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation involves a colorless, odorless gas inhaled through a nasal mask. We control the amount of nitrous you receive to ensure your safety. Once you begin breathing the gas, you will feel relaxed, so Dr. Hopkins can perform your dental work. You can drive yourself home following the visit and can continue your daily activities as normal.
Many dentists only restore dental implants and are forced to refer patients out to specialists for the placement procedure. As a comprehensive practice, we do both treatments right here in our Frisco dental office. Using the latest in laser technology, we place and restore dental implants for your personal convenience.
To learn more about dental implants, please call us or read more about our restoration or precision placement procedures.
You can first help your children avoid cavities by making sure they take care of their teeth at home. They should brush their teeth at least twice a day and floss daily. If your kids are really young, you may want to brush their teeth for them. We also recommend that you examine their diet. Some foods, such as those with lots of sugar and starch, can potentially cause tooth decay.
Once your children reach age three, you can start bringing them in every six months for regular checkups and hygiene treatments. In some cases, Dr. Hopkins may need to place sealants on their permanent teeth to help avoid cavities. If you haven’t already, call our Frisco dental practice to schedule an appointment.
Affecting roughly 80 percent of the American population, gum disease hides silently in your mouth waiting to destroy gum tissue and teeth. It can lead to tooth loss and a range of other health problems. According to the latest research, there is a direct connection between gum disease and strokes, heart disease, respiratory problems, osteoporosis, diabetes complications, low birth weight, and dementia, along with many other health problems.
We can detect early symptoms of gum disease during regular checkups. When caught in early stages, you can usually prevent it through changes in brushing, flossing, and oral health products. If gum disease has already taken its course, we can treat it with an array of therapies, including:
- Scaling – to remove hardened plaque from below the gum line
- Root Planing – to reduce rough areas on teeth roots
- Antibiotic Therapy – to battle infection
- Surgery – advanced cases may require the care of a periodontist, in which case we will refer you to a trusted colleague
